1.
I gaze upon the sea and watch the sun as it sets Yet the moonlight reflects on the water's surface The wind blows softly I fall asleep to moving waves During which I had a dream that would change my fate The sea darkens in the night The sleeping water awakens The waves move in towards me while I try to swim away Water flows on me I see the stream from the heavens Clouds are covering the sky I'm unable to escape this dream The spirits are taking me to a place where I can rest But the waves come back, flowing on me again This sequence I can't take I needed to wake up from here To watch the sea calm down and gaze upon it again Everything has flown away My dream has reached the end I woke up and found the seas that swallowed the night
2.
Mother Nature arose in the night She told me I had a dream that I won't forget In this dream we met She brought me to her homw And she showed me her pictures Before letting me out She vanished in the atmosphere I walk alone on the road My dream has reached its end Quietly I think of her The esoteric river has dried Trees fall down on the ground Now I see myself on the other side of solemnity
3.
When the sunlight fades away I slowly walk to a haunted graveyard Ghosts fly around the graves of the Dead I investigate this haunted place A ghostly voice screams in the distance The scream then fades I resume my walk My attention is caught by another ghostly voice It chants words I can't pronounce in a depressive state The yard becomes more darker The ghosts illuminate the graves Far away from the gates, I try to find the exit The ghosts hold me back in their haunted mansion My days flashed before my eyes as I prepare to fall unconscious I see my life go bybefore turning to white

5.
Here I stand in the rain Where my thoughts are consumed It's been five days that the circle has been spinning So I watch the sky turn to dark As the cloud begins to fade The entity that I am will disappear with the cloud I see nothing, but the cloud As it bids farewell The cloud fades in a mysterious way I am left all alone on the Earth My eyes are filled with tears after the cloud is gone I walk alone in the rain After the walk I see the statue of the cloud I try to stop my tears from falling on the ground After all I've been through, the time has come for me I will rejoin the stars and reunite with the clouds You will never find me again I will stay with the clouds until the end of the world "Maxime depressive statum... Nemo huc venire... Caelum et pluvia abiit tenebris... Maxime depressive noctis..."

about

"Seas That Swallowed the Night" is the twenty-second album by Soulers. After the release of "Obscura Silva", I wanted to have a funeral doom direction, combining influences from bands like Mournful Congregation, Ahab, Skepticism, Esoteric and (obviously) Thergothon.

The album contains 5 tracks which all clock in all at more than 10-20 minutes in length, including the 28-minute opening title-track, resulting in a total length of 79:59. This makes it the second longest Soulers album I have ever released in my career, beating the 2017 album "Trip - The Satanic Sounds of Soulers", which was 57 seconds shorter. This may also be the last Soulers album as of 2019 to contain clean vocals, as I may focus solely on death growls.
